Meta-keywords examples

On-page optimization is the practice of SEO optimization of individual web pages, in order to make search engines give superior value to optimized pages and to gain more relevant traffic from search engines. On-page refers to both the content of the page and the source code of a page and its loading speed, as opposed to off-page SEO, which refers to links and other external signals. This is the first step that needs to be done in the site optimization process. The better Google understands what the site pages are about, the easier, less expensive and faster the link building process will be.

What is Onpage SEO`?

There are many factor that must be taken into account, during the process of creating as site. In short, maximum attention should be paid to the meta titles and meta descriptions on the page, the titles and subtitles inside the page (H1, H2, H3, etc.), the internal structure of the links, the content must be written first for visitors and then for search engines, the higher quality and more detailed the more Google likes it.

It should also be considered the introduction and optimization of images in content, videos, relevant internal and external links, the ability of users to share information from the site on social networks, but also other links or buttons that make the visitor interested in staying and circulating on the site, in this way the bounce rate will be lower, a sign appreciated by Google, meaning that your site provided the desired information and the visitor was satisfied. And that’s not all: your site is more appreciated by Google when it can be viewed correctly on mobile, when it finds a sitemap on the site, when it has a proper robots.txt, when it uses SSL and when it has no 404 errors or pages that redirect incorrectly. Only then can we move on to the next step, that of seo optimization through link building.

Meta Keywords Example

Any HTML page has Meta tags. The most common Meta tags are the Websites title and the Websites description. Here is the title of our website:

title=”Web Engine Ltd. | Kickass SEO, Linkbuilding & Growth Hacking”
The title of the website is one of the most important parts. It is considered of being one part of “the three kings of SEO” which is the h1 Headline, the Title as well as the URL of the page. Please note that the keyword you want to rank for does not have to be included in the meta description.

Meta Descriptions are not a ranking factor

Google has long communicated that Meta descriptions are not a ranking factor anymore. Therefore we are recommending anyone that is creating websites to use the Meta description to attract visitors and not to SEO optmize. Here is a good example of a Meta description:

name=”descriptioncontent=”The best juicers for fruits and veggies, including the best juicer for greens, apples, and citrus for fresh juice from brands like Breville, Hurom, and Hamilton Beach.“>

In this example, the website is using the money keyword in the description tag once. But its also the case because it makes sense for the user. Also note that they are using this technique:

name=”keywordscontent=”juicer, best juicer, juicing, juice diet, top juicers, breville juicer, green juice, juicer reviews “>

Which basically means adding the most important keywords in the meta name=keywords tag. Even though Google said its not a ranking factor we still strongly advice on using them to make sure Google understands what topic your webpage is about.

It is important that your website has all things in place about onpage seo, namingly that the keyword you want to rank for is in the URL, Title as well as h1 of the website. Also the keyword should be in the content a few times. We also think it definitely makes sense to use a meta description though not to optimize for search engines but for the user.
